Optimal Coordination of TCSC and PSS2B Controllers in Electric Power Systems Using MOPSO Multiobjective Algorithm

Oscillations are an intrinsic phenomenon in interconnected power systems, leading to steady-state stability, safety decline, transmission limitation, and electric systems’ ineffective exploitation by developing particularly connecting these systems low-load lines. In addition, they affect the economic performance of systems. this study, PSS2B system stabilizers TCSC compensators used improve stability margin order coordinate compensators, MOPSO multiobjective algorithm with integral time-weighted absolute error (ITAE) figure demerit (FD) objective functions was used. The optimization results compared nondominated sorting genetic (NSGAII) differential evolution (MODE) algorithms. indicated a better proposed than NSGAII MODE. simulations were iterated two scenarios creating different loading conditions generators. that control system, where coordination between using algorithm, is which Stabilizers or utilized solely. All criteria, e.g., ITAE, FD, maximum deviation range, required time for oscillation damping hybrid have been obtained. This means more accurate proper performance.
